When we put our BG numbers in, they randomly disappear days later. We haven't been assigning element IDs but that shouldn't matter. We've had to reinput numbers twice now. Very frustrating.

This fix is currently in progress and will be released soon. The issue occurs when importing a new script: background (BG) counts are unintentionally reset to their default values. This is incorrect behavior. Importing a script should never overwrite customized BG counts and should instead preserve any changes you've already made.
