Both of these are going in very soon. Landscape orientation for the calendar export is part of the reports rebuild currently in QA. And the narrower columns for days off / weekends you mentioned is exactly the kind of space optimization that makes the printed calendar actually usable. Non-shooting days taking up the same real estate as shoot days has always been the wrong default view.
